Involve him where he wants to be involved but don't insist that he help you pick out the color of your bridesmaids shoes. Planning a cheap weddingWould you like to have a wonderful wedding without spending lots of money? If you go shopping in the last few days before the wedding, you may be pushed to buy something expensive. After the guests get tired of all the dancing, you can invite them to play different funny games.

Even if you've gotten off the beaten path a bit, it is still a lifesaver by listing all the duties and ideas to accomplish everything. You would have so many possibilities, and you could spend more than you have planned. Happy planning! It is not necessary to respect all of them but the more you pay attention to them the more traditional the wedding will be. Brides-to-be could post things they're looking to find at a bargain such as serving supplies.

Planning a Wedding on a Budget

Planning a wedding on a budget can be a challenge but it can also be a lot of fun. There are many, many ways to cut corners without looking like you're cutting corners. For example, design and print your own wedding invitations and thank you notes. You can even print a checklist off of the computer to help keep you in line and to keep everything organized. List everything you will be spending money on and develop a budget. Do stick to it and try to stay under it.

If you make the food yourself, you'll save a bundle. That includes the cake. You can find beautiful, easy to make cakes in magazines and on the internet that will rival even the most expensive wedding cake. Not only will you save money, but you'll have a ball doing it. When you're planning a wedding on a budget the key is to plan ahead and get organized.

When you're planning a wedding on a budget, you'll find yourself just shaking your head at some of the prices being charged for things like mint and nut cups. This should be one of the easiest, most frugal details to take care of. Imagination is the key here. You need a container to hold mints and one to hold nuts. It doesn't have to be crystal. Find something that matches your personality. It will be fun being a little different.

Use candles for centerpieces. They're beautiful and inexpensive. Keep the food simple. No one is going to remember the food anyway. They will remember the festivities and the atmosphere in general but the exact dish that was served will fade quickly. Have enough but not too much. You might even consider hors d'oeu rves and mini sandwiches.

If you know someone who has a unique talent, now is the time to flatter the heck out of them. Do you know someone who sings, bakes or takes pictures? Most people are flattered to be asked to participate in a wedding. Maybe you know someone who makes crafts. She might be willing to help out with the decorations. When you're planning a wedding on a budget, think about the things you might be able to borrow like punchbowls, serving pieces and things you would only use once.

Obviously, weddings are about a lot more than money. It doesn't make much sense though, to start off your marriage with debt you can't afford and will most likely regret. Besides, you'll need the money for the honeymoon!

Using Wholesale Wedding Centerpieces and Decorations for a Cheaper Wedding
By Ben Needles

Weddings are a very complex gathering to plan and execute. First, theres picking out a location, selecting a theme or color scheme, getting the cake, ordering catering, inviting everyone in both families, and the list goes on and on. The biggest and most over looked aspect of a wedding, however, is most certainly the budget.

Everyone wants to have the perfect wedding. Some times its because the bride is the princess or daddys little girl. Other times, the couple together just have expensive taste. Either way if the budget isnt kept in check it will be one expensive wedding.

Now keeping a budget doesnt mean you cant spend money. Certainly, a wedding is a special event for everyone involved and a gathering this large simply isnt going to be cheap. Im not saying to drastically cut corners either. Bad food and entertainment will upset company, a bad location could disrupt the joyful mood and not having enough bear would certainly upset the portion of the family youd rather not have come.

What I want you to do is save money on stuff that mostly doesnt matter. Take any sort of ribbon, bow or streamer. These things dont need to be made of silk! Obviously, silk looks really nice but a cheaper replacement could easily be found at a dollar store or a hobby shop like Michaels. Youd be surprised at the savings found at hobby shops.

To take it up a notch further make your own decorations. Recruit your mom, mother-in-law, that sister that owes you one, and any other family members. Bring them together and design and craft your own centerpieces, or floral arrangements. Know someone who loves to sew? Buy plenty of clean, white cloth at a store and have someone sew them together to create table cloths.

Take advantage of any gardeners you know and ask them to make simple floral centerpieces. Get some similar vases at a thrift shop or on Ebay and you have some cheap, yet beautiful, centerpieces.

I realize a lot of my suggestions result in a lot of work but nothing comes for free. If you want someone else to take this load on for you then go ahead pay someone to do it. However, if youre on a tight budget and have some resourceful friends and family, dont be afraid to take advantage of it. You may owe some favors but, in the end, youll save money on your wedding and be closer to everyone you love. Whats not to like there?
